OK most of you know my sad Kid Rock meeting story, and some have heard my really sad KR fan club story. I don't know if I ever told you my sad Stef story, but its another bad luck-Kid Rock story that sucks. And now today, what could be the final straw that broke the Kid Rock fan's back...
Back a while ago when I heard that he was going to be on Letterman this week, I contacted a friend who used to work there who said he could 'get me tix whenever I wanted them.' Well he was talkin out his ass, cuz he didn't come thru. So I went to the Letterman site and put my name in three times for Nov. 21, and then I put Diverjeffro's name in under his email. So that's lots of requests for tix. So today I get home from substitute teaching in a special ed class (need beer...) and on my answering machine is 'Caroline from the Late Show' calling to see if I'm still interested in tix for Wednesday's show. She said to call Jennifer, an audience coordinator (same position as my friend was) for more information. Needless to say I flipped out, jumpin around like some kinda nut, called diverjeffro and asked if we could still swing it for Wednesday. He said yes, so I called her. She was all sweet and nice and asked when I would be there, blah blah blah....Then she proceeds to say 'because there is such high demand for Letterman tix, we are calling people and askin trivia questions about the show. If you get it right, you will qualify for tix.' Now I watch the show, but I don't study the damn thing!! So I'm like ok...(knowing I would freeze and not know a damn thing even if she asked what Letterman's first damn name is!)
She asks: What color is the announcer's hair?
What the fuck is that shit?!?!?!?!?! The announcer??? I don't fuckin know what color the fuckin announcer's hair is!!!
"Brown?" I answer.
"No, I'm sorry. Maybe you should watch the show more often, even if you have to tape it and maybe you'll make it next time. Cya, Bye."
Jesus H....yet another possible Kid Rock moment shot to shit. I am about to give up, girlz, I'm dead serious. I'm not even that stoked to go out early tomorrow morning and get the CD because I just feel like I'm hurting myself more and more. It's just like there's something against me being this man's fan, I don't get it.
OK, I vented...now I'm going to go back to crying...

Yeah, of course as soon as I told jeffro what happened and told him the question, he knew the answer...If I had just chickened out and made him call, I'd be on my way to NYC for KR, but that's just my luck. I refuse to ever expect any more than this.
